I would have rated this campground a 5 if the camping lots did not cram 2 campers into a space large enough for 1 and resembled more of a winter storage facility in the off season, along with the fact that camp fires are not allowed.This campground is situated just off the city bypass on the west side of Calgary and has an outdoor pool, trailer dumping station, fresh water refill station, propane refill station for both vehicles and cylinders and the camp sites have electrical, water and some sights have sewage connections. The park has sites to accommodate from the tenting to a 40' camper with pull through lots. The camp is kept very clean and tidy both of the grounds and their buildings such as washrooms, showers, laundry facilities and small store on site. This campground is very busy and a reservation is highly recommend to ensure that you can get a campsite though not required.
Nice clean grounds and facilities! The staff was super nice and welcoming. The store had lots of nice treasures! There is an outdoor pool. Not much trees or privacy if thats your thing, but nice large lots and pull through. Pet friendly also.
Camp ground wasn't terrible. Staff not very accommodating. Checked out by 11 on a Wednesday and wanted to have a game of mini golf with son before we hit the road. They did not want us to play after our checkout claiming I would block traffic even though over half the sites were empty. I could have easily backed in somewhere. I really do not understand the 11 o'clock check out in an rv site especially when check in is 4 o'clock. A hotel yes, they have to clean and prep rooms for next visitor. A campsite, we clean everything up and have it ready for the next camper. All RV sites should be a 2 o'clock check out like the previous ones we stayed at.
This campsite is close to Calgary and has a pool, the clean washrooms and free showers were good. Some of the sites look ok. Our site was very small. The site was far from level. The playground consisted of a swing a slide and two teeter totters. Not nearly enough for the size of campground. No fire pits was a let down. We will not be returning.
Nice campground. I liked that we had bushes around our tent for some privacy. The pool, mini golf and playground were ok and a nice bonus. The internet did not work at our campsite, guess we were too far from the modem. It was also quite a walk to the washrooms... would have been nice to have them closer to tent campsites.
