Heather Davidson is the worse lawyer I have had. She doesn't return phone calls or email updates. She stated changing the kids school would be no problem and couldn't do that. If she writes a response to this review she will undoubtedly blame it on my former lawyer but that lawyer had child support for me and had me getting a good portion of the trust. Heather lost me everything and the tiny bit that I was awarded went straight to Heather's pocket. If you use Heather, she will constantly be busy and out of town and unable to accomplish the simplest of tasks. Heather's exact words were just sign the agreement and then I was sent to her partner to sign it because she was out of town. The partner even stated I didn't have to sign it but it's not like I had any more money to pay. After all the funds had been divided, I went to see if there was any more after Heather had taken her share, and it turns out they gave another 2000 grand to my ex lawyer. And no one told me a thing. So, in summary, you won't be able to do what is best for your children if you go to this lawyer. And she will take all your money, tell you things are easy to change and not do a single thing.This firm does not provide legal advice. They are just here to take your money and be out of town or busy.
I had the pleasure of working with Marian Black and would recommend her services to anyone. She helped alleviate what felt like a very stressful and difficult situation for me and did a great job of putting things in perspective. She worked very diligently to resolve my matter in an unexpectedly short period of time. She employs a very collaborative and constructive approach with the goal of reducing conflict and keeping the best interest of kids at the forefront. With her help we were able to avoid lengthy and costly court proceedings.

I must say it was a fairly disappointing experience. I used there services for a matter in Calgary, they seemed to be on it and were thorough in keeping me updated on what I needed to do. That being said I signed an agreement, gave my credit card information and retainer. Turned out I didn't need there services for the matter was resolved. And the hours I accumulated for their services, I assumed were covered by the retainer and credit card I had given them.Not one person reached to me for the unpaid invoice once which I never received, and they later confirmed they send it by email and it wasnt sent. I had a collection office harrass me saying the bill was a $1000 higher than what it should have been. I disputed with them saying I never received a bill and the bill he provided me is incorrect. He proceeded to take the matter to the credit bureau. After arguing with him for weeks. I decided to call the lady handling our file, she I forms me that she had changed offices in between and someone else should have followed up, but they didn't. Not one apology. I paid the balance owed (which I was willing to from the beginning and made clear to the credit collection company) and my credit bureau has a collection on it for their poor management.Very poor services and I would not recommend.
The child support calculator provided on line through this firm is awesome. We have a long standing support agreement and we use this annually to update the child support amounts based on our T4's. Thank you for providing this great tool online which allows you lawyers to focus on cases that really require your help rather than simple accounting annually for us folks long through the process.
