Re-keyed my lock exactly as I needed. Service was good, fast and friendly. I noticed on one of the business cards that Heads Lock & Key has been in business in Calgary since 1911. This is pretty unusual in Calgary and speaks to their quality. I will be back when I need lock or key work in their part of town.
NOTE: This review is on Chris Only, the rest of the staff and Owner are very pleasant to deal with and treat me with respect.Not to happy with dealing with Chris, every time I come in I get attitude from him. Here are some examples:1) Oh you brought me a hard key again I really don't like cutting these keys.2) Oh this key is too hard to cut, I don't know if I can do it or not, ( he has cut my keys incorrectly before in the past )3) There is no code to cut this key to: question if you have had no problem cutting my keys in the past why the sudden change? So when I said " Ok Thank you I'll get my key cut elsewhere, as I walk out and turn my back to Chris, he mouths under his breath "Nice Attitude" Clearly I heard this. Well buddy I'll tell you what if you didn't give me a hard time every time I come in I wouldn't have to write this review. I put up with your attitude up until now, until your nasty comment. I had to call 12 Locksmiths in Calgary to ask if they can cut a key to code, finally the last one was able to but I had to drive to the other end of city, and hour and half later I finally got my key cut when I could've gotten it done an hour and half earlier with you, very frustrating. After Complaining to the owner about his staff, and wanting an apology I finally got a call back from Chris. Says " Oh the code was at the back of the book?! Yet that's not the reason why I wanted a call back, I asked for an apology of how he spoke to me especially after his comment. Like seriously you couldn't wait till after I left your business?! Chris has refused to give me an apology after that phone call, which has left me emotionally upset I simply couldn't get an apology Nothing!Not COOL! ( NOTE: The owner and the rest of staff are great to deal with I give 5 Stars to them )
They were able to make a key from scratch for my 35 year old motorcycle luggage locks with no original key. Very impressed with their service and knowledge.
My office has used these guys for years. They are knowledgeable and so friendly and helpful. The store is a fun place to visit. It is actually very interesting. And they have almost everything you could need in stock.
I urgently needed my car door lock fixed. I called to see if they could help me and the earliest they could see me was 3 days from now. I explained my situation to the owner in which I couldn't lock my car door and he allowed me to come the same day and had my car all fixed and back to new within a few hours (not to mention at 1/2 the cost of any other place I tried to get into urgently...)
