On the positive side: It's a quaint, quiet place with well-organized shelves of books. Maybe I went on a bad day, but the staff seemed cold and distant. I also found they didn't have as much selection as I would have liked. Their religious section was full of wikkan and crystal references, not much more than that, and they had a smaller fiction section than I hoped.Another positive: it is air conditioned.
Great selection of harder to find books and local authors! Awesome events and readings quite often! Perfect location to grab a book for a read in the park downtown.
Nice curated book selection! Better than going to an overwhelming Indigo if youre into the tactile experience of exploring physical books. Great lighting and conveniently located off of 4th street. Lots of specialty books with interesting subjects. A great place to browse and check out!
I love the selection of books, everything is neatly organized and I always come out of the store with something I wasn't expecting to buy ! Staff are approachable but not super friendly.
Eclectic collection. Looking to learn more about a niche topic or interest? Shelf life is your place. I went looking for a poetry book for my friend's birthday. knowing nothing about poetry the task was quite daunting to me. The staff was very helpful and I was able to find the perfect gift. Albeit a little pricy, it certainly was a pleasant experience. As someone who usually purchases books online I was very surprised with the extensive knowledge and support the staff provided.
