Wow, I can't tell you what a wonderful experience I had with Rachel and Lisa at Leyden's this past November when my aunt passed away suddenly. Even though we were taking probably the smallest cremation package they offered they treated me and my mother with such care and attention. We had to go in to identify the body and they really went the extra mile to make it a really special moment with my aunt (lit a candle, dressed her with care and they even put a little ball of yarn that they found in the bag with her clothes in her hands.). I can't recommend them enough, they truly truly care and I'm incredibly grateful.
Please Anyone considering Leydens Funeral . Don't do it.They gave my Mummy remains to her son that had nothing to do with her for more than five years.I live in Kelowna but when I asked for them they said given to your brother. Alberta LAW is. If nothing in writing. Then must go to oldest child. My sister does not want them also did not speak to her mum in more than five years. Next child is me. LAW. Leydens did not follow the law. Now I have to get the police involved. Not only am I distraught over losing my treasure. I have to deal with this situation because of Leydens. Due DILIGENCE was not done here. Thankfully the law is on my side.On another note staff could not be more rude. No sense of compassion at all Hung up on me when I needed answers.Want your money with no compassion. If your going through a difficult time and need help Leydens is NOT for you.Terrible. Hurtful. Colleen HeckKelowna BC
Horrible staff and the director was rude and insensitive to the family and visitors at the prayer service. My friend called me and asked to see my loved one and the funeral director said "we don't let strangers off the street in". The funeral director said to that same friend they were not welcome there and that they were lucky they were let inside bc this friend told me that they only care about money. They were rude, arrogant and made what was supposed to be a special day to celebrate my moms life very upsetting for everyone there. I'm sorry that we got this funeral home and I will never recommend them to anyone. If I could give zero stars I would. FFF---
We had Leydens look after my Grandmothers processes. They handled everything with ease and were extremely helpful. The service was beautiful and everything was perfect.
I can't tell you how wonderful our family's experience was with Leyden's. They took what was such an emotional hard time for us and turned it into something so comforting, loving and reassuring. Flo Simpson was there for us ever step of the way - and her refreshing, honest wonderful energy was so welcoming and so unexpected to find at a funeral home. She was an absolute gem.
