I arrived at Singapore Sams 10 minutes after the buffet had closed. Instead of them pushing me away or making me order from the menu, they allowed the two of us to have the buffet and even made more small servings of everything we wanted for us and brought it to the table - and it was so fast! After we were done they even let us take it all home. I thanked him, and he made it sound like it was no big deal. I have never had such amazing service in the city and I will definitely be back. Even the pricing is moderate and well worth it. Thank you.
You know when youre in a place and you can feel like youre not wanted there? Thats how it was... for a reason I dont want to name because it may be absurd to think it out loud but I feel that its an underlying unsaid issue within Calgary still. Anyway, came in with a few friends, many many tables free but got seated in a secluded and dark corner. Our server was rude and had zero sense of concern for us as customers felt like just a quick number to collect a sale. Didnt even ask if our table may need anything else and dropped off a bill immediately like we should gtfo. I mentioned to our server how it came across to our table, and instead he was offended and essentially said then leave. I dont understand why servers are servers if they possess no sense of hospitality? Or, are you more hospitable with other groups of people? To top it off, the dishes are overpriced for just salt.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The good was good and hot and the dirty dishes were removed promptly. The bull was very reasonable for.the smorgasbord. All in all an enjoyable evening out with my friends.
$13.50 for lunch buffet or dinner buffet. Children under 3 are free. Decently priced. Nice owner. Not very big selection. Good soft serve ice cream machine. But no fruits. Not much deserts. Overall good. Parking is hard as there are only 5 stalls. After 6 pm is free on street.
I went to Calgary last fall and absolutely LOVED this restaurant!! The food is so flavourful and delicious! The decor is also cute and cultured. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a cute asian food place in calgary!!
