Was stampede 2018 was trying to have a good time at the tent in the grounds. I had tickets to get to a private event in the tent yet the event holders were not at the gate to provide bracelets. Security (5 different people) proceeded to parade me around for an hour and not give me access to the tent without paying $150 after I had already paid to get access earlier but had to leave the tent to get into the private event. Cowboys did not provide any solution other than fork over $150 and did not understand my situation at all. I regret the situation I had and I hope they can provide a semblance of better service to other people because mine was terrible and I hope they learn from it after losing a customer.
Plenty do do, whether playing the tables, enjoying the slots or just enjoying a beer in the casino area. Cowboys bar depending on which night you go in can be awesome. Plenty of dancing, live bands, stripper nights. Dance floor is quite large and plenty of people to dance with, the bar tenders we're always helpful and quick to serve you. Plenty of bar drinks available or waiting staff circling with a variety of shots on trays. I've always had good nights here to be honest, no matter what day if the week it is.
Was at Cowboys a few times this Stampede and it was brutal. Seemed like it was their first Stampede ever. Beer tubs empty, bars were out of almost everything all the time. Totally understaffed. The whole venue is quite disgusting. I think they need more staff to help clean up as the days and nights go on. Don't even get me started on the bathroom situation!!! Feels like I am in a 3rd world country ..... But in the end, this venue makes MILLIONS. I think at a certain point, they stop caring about anything else.
Stampede first Thursday. Unorganized, understaffed, could not keep beer tubs consistently full. Credit card platform takes too long and beer tub girls consistently ran out of change.. Need more people at the main bars to accommodate flow. The platform above the bar was leaking water below probably from an above bar. Bathrooms were disgusting. I wont be spending my money this year at Cowboys. Youd think by now they would really want to wow everyone on the first opening day but it was a complete wash!
Fun night! Good service and good music. Shoutout to the cowboys staff and especially to the manager who went above and beyond to make my friends 25th birthday a fun night for all of us :)
