Please ignore off topic review talking about a pharmacist named Joe. That pharmacy is SAFEWAY. Get your facts and location straight. This is an IDA store. There is a traditional pharmacy, a compounding pharmacy, a veterinary medicines pharmacy, a housewares section, a post office and a home health section. In the housewares section they stock Paderno and are able to order from many other brands. This is all in one location. It's where I bought a Paderno cooling rack(cakes) for our religious community. At the front there is a donation bin for the less fortunate members in the community. Staff are knowledgeable and I have been able to pick up specialty first aid supplies there. You can't do that at a grocery store.

First off let me say this is the only Pharmacy in all of Calgary that has my medication... Ok now let me say I drove all the way across the city through crazy rush hour traffic and there's construction( I didn't know about )but it's right on 14 st between Heritage and 90th Ave I got stuck in construction...I am literally 2 minutes away ..so I phoned & the time was 5:59 and said to the pharmacist I'm right here I can literally see the pharmacy to my right I am 1 minute away..I'm right around the corner can you wait for me she says YES come here as long as you're right around the corner so I do ... I look at my clock when I knocked on the pharmacy door the time was 6:02 according to the time on my phone the lady says they're closed I said I just talked to the pharmacist she said for me to come that she's waiting so she asked my name and goes to talk to pharmacist I wait another 4 minutes the cashier lady comes over to the door not the pharmacist and tells me sorry we're closed ..I said I phoned and talked to the pharmacist and Explained that I was right around the corner 1 minute away and I asked the pharmacist if she would wait 2 min I and she told me to come that she would wait... SHE LOOKS AT ME WHEN THE MOST IGNORANT Scowl and says "nobody told me and it's to late the tills closed we can't do nothing.. now maybe I'm dumb but cant you just open the till up again or I said I have cash you can put my money underneath the till and ring it through tomorrow?? she says no we're closed and walks away turns all the lights off this is my MEDICATION were talking about !! I drove all the way across the city I am 2 minutes late and I called ahead pharmacist told me to come even..... was it my fault the pharmacist didn't tell her that I would be 2 minutes late.. And the time was only 6:02 who closes right on the nose at 6 anyways if you're closing at 6.. wouldnt you still be doing your cash out at 6:02 ?? is that compassion for a pharmacist but in all fairness I don't even know if cashier lady told the pharmacist I was there .. but if the pharmacist did know then where's the compassion this is my medication we are talking about and she's the one who told me you would be okay and you're letting a cashier lady determine if your customer gets his medication or not when she's the one who told me to come there when I was going to be one minute late This isn't Canadian Tire for a blade for your lawn mower .. this is a pharmacy a Health service provider and that was my medication..they were with holding!!! is this behavior very professional for a pharmacy??? I am still just in shockPs I know why receptionist did this because I had overheard her talking the time you i7 p if she doesn't get out of there right there at 6 she misses her buss well there's a new buss every 15 min... 0
I would never recommend this location's pharmacy to anyone... Joe, the pharmacist at Glenmore Landing, completely ignores customers when they are waiting at the counter. I waited with five other people for over 20 minutes while we watched him talk to his friend and not even acknowledge us or say he'll be with us in a minute. I phoned back another day to get a prescription refill over the phone and he put me on hold for 25 minutes. I called back and spoke to a manager and he confirmed it was Joe working and he didn't know why he wasn't answering the phone. I usually love Safeway and I love getting airmiles on my prescription purchases which is why I fill them there, but this location is the worst I have ever experienced and I personally think Joe should be fired. They obviously don't know what kind of terrible customer service their pharmacy has been giving and it's extremely disappointing. I highly recommend avoiding this location at all costs!
The IDA pharmacy is great! I always fill my prescription here. The staff and pleasant and always answer all my questions fully.
