A reasonable mall. Probably not the best for shopping for clothes but great for everyday things! A good food hall for the size of the mall.The mall itself is always clean and well maintained with plenty of parking
There are some unique stores in North Hill Centre and that's about it. The food court is good, yet what you would expect from any other food court. Parking always seems to be an issue for a mall that seems like everyone has gone home for the holidays. It is clean and the bathrooms are adequate. It seems like the mall is waiting to die, wheezing it's last gasps as retail sales provide its last lifegiving blood. That being said they have a lot of familiar stores that - in any other location - would be doing very well. Too little, too late as the North Hill Centre mall owners have missed the boat...again.
This mall has a great location but it's dying slowly. If they renew it and get more stores this could be a great place. Still as is, it's a convenient spot with banks, a Safway, Winners, food court, clothing stores, shoe stores, cell phone companies stores, dollar store, a small playground l,medical clinics, a lab and many other utilitary businesses. I hope they can revive this mall.
I just wrote a lengthy review about CORE Shopping Centre downtown and raved about the greatness of it. This mall unfortunately falls at the other end of the spectrum of LAME and BENIGN. The mall really never has been bumping with people but that was back when I was a kid in the early 90s. Still 30 years later they're still a slow mall. It's in a great location and has some good shops in it, but there's nothing that attracts people here and for that reason I have to give a low star rating. Put something in that people will choose there vs say Northland Mall, which is equally dead in my opinion but that's for another day and review. It's boring there. Dead. I hope you do something to spice it up a bit to make it more enjoyable for Calgary and its visitors. Thanks!
North Hill has been around a while and it's showing its age. That said, it has some good big box stores like Safeway, Shopper's Drug Mart, and a new Winners. It's very handily located across the street from a C-Train station (Lions Park) and a library, and near SAIT for you students out there. That said, there's something "off" about it and frankly the bathrooms smell weird
