Great outdoor stage either for agricultural contests, exhibitions, concerts and other live shows. Don't miss the Grand Stand Show during the Stampede week. It's amazing what they can do in there.The place is big and comfortable, has enough washroom and amenities.
Great experience, I can now check it off my bucket list. Rodeo was very good with hi skill level participants. The evening show with fireworks was very good. A must for all you cowboys and cowgirls.
Anyone who goes to the Calgary Stampede must attend one Grand Stand show during it's 10 day course. The Grand Stand show really is the crown jewel of the Calgary Stampede. You might even get lucky and see a celebrity or two performing in the show, but it's always a surprise so you never know what you'll get! To conclude it all a finale as grand as the show itself, with fireworks that will dazzle and awe your imagination well into the night as you dream of the spectacular show you just whitnessed. A definite attraction that must be added to complete your Stampede experience!
On the plus side, it's hard to have a bad seat, although monster trucks are easier to see than calves. Some seats are reasonably shaded but most can be fairly exposed. Not enough bathrooms as usual.
Lived in Calgary born and raised. the rodeo ,chucks and grand stand is part of my life. In 2018 the grandstand was brutal.. dont waste your time. The singing was on one note and there were hardly any acrobatics. Past years were definitely better. Dont waste your time and go to the Nashville north instead. This is the first year I left early, never thought that would happen.:: ps the 2 stars are for the kids
