Sorry for the long review, but please read this for your own sanity before you submit an application.BLS forces you to sign up for an expensive and unnecessary courier service even though you're able to pick up your documents from the BLS office. They don't even offer you the option of pick-up - they just add the courier amount to the bill without letting you know. When I saw the bill and told Akshay that I'd rather pick up my documents, Akshay says - "They will send it to the address you provided" implying that the Vancouver consulate returns the documents directly to you. He insisted that this was the only option. So I reluctantly coughed up the extra money for my application and my mom's.One day I come home and see a notice that I missed a delivery from Purolator. It's strange because the intercom is connected to my cell phone, so if the delivery was actually attempted, I would have received a phone call. The slip required that I pick up the package from a location downtown. Interestingly, looking at the reviews of that Purolator location, I noticed that every single review mentioned that no one from purolator actually attempted delivery; people who were at home all day still saw a slip stuck to their front door saying that they missed a delivery.So I picked up the parcel from the Purolator location and saw the From address - it was the BLS office!! So Akshay completely lied to us. They receive the applications from Vancouver and then use a courier service to unnecessarily ship the documents to another address within the same city, using a sub-standard courier service. The BLS website clearly states the office hours for collection of documents. To add insult to injury, if they were going to courier the docs from the BLS office anyway, why charge us for two courier fees for my mom and my application?This is an absolute scam by BLS just to make some money on the courier service, while using a substandard cheap service by Purolator who doesn't even attempt delivery. I will be calling them to request a refund for the courier fees.Advise: if you're making an application at the BLS center, insist on picking up your documents at the BLS center and ensure that they don't charge you for courier services.
Service is really good and fast. It was very supportive . Akshay saved my $ 25 for my photographs. He was good.
