*TERRIBLE* So I got an inspection here after replacing the clutch on my elantra. They called me after and said the axle seal on the right was leaking. It was not leaking. I had pulled the axles while removing the transmission. I told them if they want the work they have to clean and check the seal. They were unwilling to spray it with 5 cent worth of brake cleaner and spin the wheels up on a hoist for a minute. They were willing to rip me off though. Just taking advantage of people that don't know better. I know better. Diagnosis fee for 5 minutes of work when your making $200 off the repair?? C'mon guys! The self serve side of ct is okay. But they don't have near enough staff and it's always been that way.
One of the problems Ive had with shopping in any big box store is you can NEVER find anyone to help you, and when you do they have no idea what the hell you are talking about. Ive had problems with service in Canadian Tires all over Canada. This one though has one thing the others do not, a wonderful manager. I didnt know she was a manger until I had a problem the other day. Ive been at this location four times, and every time this same lady helped me out. The other day I was looking for a vacuum. I saw an awesome one that was on sale for half price. Go up to pay for it and no sale price. Manager is called, and its the nice lady thats helped me a few times. We went to investigate the problem and the tag hadnt been switched to the normal price. She gave me the sale price anyways. If only everyone at your stores was as awesome as her. Her name is Ursula, I checked the tag this time. She deserves all the promotions. Theres a reason people have started online shopping more, and its because why bother going to the store when you arent getting good service. Well this is the only Canadian tire in Calgary that I will frequent literally because of this one lady. Thanks for your awesome service, Ursula.
Nice and big Canadian Tire with huge selections of everything you could ask for. Automotive department is attached here as well. Garden center. This place has it all. Huge parking lot and public washrooms. Easy to find. The staff here is friendly and helpful with finding what you need.
Great store! Nice, new, big. Very clean. Purchased merchandise during the father's day (week) sale. Well organized. Tons of parking. Parking situation may change once the mall construction is all done and it re-opens.
Like others have said, prepare for a wait if you need help reaching items or have to ask questions; not a lot of staff on floor and when I went to customer service to get someone to help me purchase a bike, they ignored someone who had a quick question (they kept talking to each other instead of simply saying "one moment please"). Then when they paged someone to meet me at the bike rack nobody came so I had to go back and have them actually call to make sure they showed up. When he did, he at least seemed knowledgeable about the type of bikes and what was in stock.Otherwise it's in a nice location, selection is big, feels pretty modern and has a touch-screen where you can search for products near the front of the store. One downside is that I searched the bike that I was looking for and it said it had 10 in-stock on the rack, but on the floor there was only one left. _()_/
