Came in with my boyfriend for the first time having just noticed it driving by. As we walked in we were greeted warmly with a very sweet server, I think her name was flora but I'm not too sure, small Asian lady, very smiley. When we had questions about the menu and the drinks she was very knowledgeable, as well as the bartender at the time a young blonde man. They both knew their stuff and treated us well. Our appetizers and meals both came out promptly, with beautiful presentation. First thing that we both thought was that it tasted and looked authentic, as if care really went into it. Yes, the bill came out a bit higher than other Indian places but the portion sizes were large enough to feed us tomorrow night as well, and the experience is comfortable and welcoming. Very well worth the trip.
I wish I could give 4 or 5 stars for the place. However I have only visited twice and both times were good. I wouldn't say the food is outstanding from any other restaurants, it may have been higher cost than average, however the presentation is great. The ambiance is great and I would suggest bringing a larger group of people as it can accommodate a large crowd. If I could recommend an improvement, it would definitely be to have a food special of the day or week to give the restaurant some life behind the general menu. Create interest and add an exclusive offer so people NEED to come in!
Awesome place. I have been to many Indian restaurants before and this place beats all of them. Great servers, friendly staff, awesome and clean dinning tables. The food is well priced and tastes delicious. You got to eat here.We go on a regular basis whenever were in or driving through Calgary. This one is one of the best East Indian Restaurant in Calgary.
Tasty Indian food, awesome service. This is one of our neighbourhood restaurants and we are frequent clients. They have lots of gluten free dishes and the portions are adequate that we usually have leftovers for the following day. The servers are very friendly and helpful without being obtrusive. Check them out, you wont be disappointed.
It was our first time here. Were glad we chose to come here. Just walked out after having amazing dinner.Excellent food and great service. Very nice and courteous staff. No complaints at all and would definitely be back with friends and family. Thank you Tamarind Team !
