It's well curated and the volunteer staff are passionate about the museum and it's contents. There are enough interactive opportunities that high energy kids/people would enjoy the experience. It's a unique place to learn about the history of firefighters in Calgary as well as their current role in our community. Worth a visit.
A great local gem. It's very new and the exhibits are really well done. Good mix for kids of all ages - our five year old loves that they let them wear fire jackets while they play, and our two year old loves playing in the doghouse. Really well optimized for groups of kids with lots of open spaces for storytime or free-play, while some exhibits are not meant to touch/climb on - but are clearly marked. Super friendly staff including a retired fire chief, and plenty to keep us busy for the morning. It's a bit off the beaten path and wasn't very busy. They don't charge admission, but will accept donations. Kids have been begging to go back ever since
Appears to be closed from June 11 until further notice. Nothing mentioned that here on Google. It's on the website.
The staff was very friendly; perhaps even bored since they followed us around offering information all the time. It was neat to see all the history dating all the way back to Worls War 1.
Amazing staff. Very friendly and kind. Looking forward to another visit
