Nice Park, long stretch of pathway along the river that can get quite busy in summer prime times. There are cafe's and a few restaurants within walking distance of the pathway. Across the river (limited number of bridges but there is one by the main parking lot) is a more trail inspired pathway leading through the trees. Parking lot is large, but can still fill up (even on weekdays as it's a popular spot to cycle into the core from).
Pretty nice area! Great for walks, bike rides, or setting up a big bbq/hangout. Would recommend sending somebody early to save a spot, or booking online on the parks section of the Calgary website
Great place for walks and pictures. Beautiful scenery, and lots of picnic tables and small barbecue stations to have a picnic or a little party. The best part is there is no cost!
I enjoyed my stay.Be careful with the corners though there are blind corners.Other than that the best place so far I have visited. They got swings for kids, good parking spots, green well kept grass and a good place to play some games and many other activities.
Nice easy hikes, open spaces and playgrounds. Picnic areas for lunch or dinner and BBQ and fire pits. Nice trees for shade and plenty of parking. Dogs allowed on leash.
