Love this place! Great spot to start off tubing or to just lay on the rocks and watch the floaters pass by. Dog friendly and pretty clean!
Gorgeous little spot within the city limits! You'd never know you were inside a city of >1 million people.. feels like you're out in the country. Highly recommended!
Beautiful little beach located along the elbow river trail system. Often populated by people suntanning, barbecuing, lounging. I bike through here all the time as it's accessible from anywhere the elbow river paths connect. If you want to barbeque you will have to reserve a site. Definitely check it out if you're in the area though! There's also a dog park connected.
Beautiful, secluded park. Located in the inner city but feels like you're away from everything. Many fire pits and barbecues available. Great access to the Elbow River.
A nice little beach alongside the parkway. The water level fluctuates here quite a bit over the course of the season and changes where you are able to walk. Good places for swimming but also just hanging out. It is rocky, despite the misnomer so dont expect a literal beach. Please note before coming: People often bring dogs and let them off leash, there is a boat launch here, and there are often many small children/infants.
