I would give it 5 stars but due to language barrier it took me 10 minutes to explained the staff what I need majority staff they hire is Chinese speaking no doubt they are hard working peoples but they need little training at least for the items they are selling in their store! the lady at customer service would be happy to assist the same ethnic but if they see someone else they might react lime who are you!! please also hire peoples from different ethnics so we can learn more about four culture i love Chinese food but not their Attitude!! by the way i am looking for job i am very hard working person.
Every possible veggies and fruits is available! What a great collection of fishes too! All kinds of fish both fresh and frozen. And their bakery is to die for, super duper delicious. I frequently shop from t&t and will continue this. If you are keen on Asian and sometime south Asian foods, this might be the better grocery store for you. The spices and sauces are more geared towards the Asian customer base, so you wont usually find Indian spices here but vegetable wise, you can get veggies more commonly used in Indian and other south Asian cuisine too.
Excellent shopping spot for very diverse tastes. always very well stocked in both produce Meats fishes can goods exotic items from Asia that you may require for your recipes a one-stop-shop for everything Asian for sure. One of my favorite go-to places for fish and shellfish. They also offer in-store Deli sort of a service with sushi and Chinese style fast food also along the sides of the store are a built-in tea shop and herbalshop.
Prices can be a little bit high, but I still shop here because it's hard to find everything I want nearby. The thing that irks me the most is that some of the staff seem kind of shady (especially when it comes to weighing items), and/or the looks and attitudes you can get. I understand, but I do not agree.If you buy from the bakery-- I was actually told that they don't make their cakes here, and that they're shipped from some mother company. The fluffy pastries are better in a box, so try to get a box and not a bag (or else they'll get crushed). Their featured section is really nice, and I like how it changes with the season. (The stuff they put forward is actually neat to look at and doesn't feel recycled). However, because this is Calgary-- half the stuff you can probably get off Amazon or something for cheaper. I appreciate that they stock fresh things once in awhile (fresh, raw peanuts in shell, fresh chicken/seafood).
Good selection and with English-speaking staff. Their roasted pork sells out quickly so if you want a belly piece and not a rib piece, you have to come practically when it opens but the BBQ butcher staff are as friendly as you could expect and fast. Good selection of SE Asian food including Singaporean and Filipino ingredients too and the raw meat & seafood area is fantastic, with Wagyu offcuts for cheap sometimes and a good selection of hot pot meats along with lots of fresh and live fish. Also, the butcher has a number-based ticket system to deal with the lines and numbers are announced in English which really helps!You can get more exotic/esoteric ingredients at smaller markets than this but it has all the popular ingredients, sauces and a fairly big ramen/instant noodle section which makes it a regular stop for a lot of people.
