Placed an order for their free range chicken. I missed their call for when the chicken came in, they left no message. Call them back and the girl tells me that they wouldn't have called me, and that I must have the wrong number. Days later I get another two missed call. Again I call back to ask and I get the same response again. This time i ask if it is about the freerange chicken that I ordered. They tell me that I ordered a turkey, even though I clearly told the cashier i wantedna chicken. So I ended up paying 70$ for a turkey when I wanted a chicken.
I want to like this store because it is a local, independent grocer in my area. Sadly, I find the store poorly laid-out and expensive, with low-quality produce. On the positive side, the staff are really nice!
Great little grocer has everything you need. It is very convenient for people who live in the area.
Clean, convenient, and carries some inventory that can be hard to locate elsewhere. However some item prices are very high compared to other local stores.
Nice to pop in to this store and see friendly faces, helpful staff that demonstrate community pride and support for Bownesians..excellent prices on t-bone steaks..great go to instead of big grocers
