My baby cat needed an urgent abdominal ultrasound. Two clinics refused us after traveling long distances in the hottest day of the week. The C.A.R.E. staff took us in after 4 pm and by 8:30 pm all tests have been done. The vet and everyone else was very kind, helpful, thorough and patient. She also called me 3 days later to let me know the lab results. I am very grateful and touched by being treated so professionally and humanely.
We see the optometrist, Dr. Brian here. He is so kind and very personable. He and his staff are caring and compassionate. They are so wonderful with my dog and they take such good care of their patients. I would give him more stars if I could.
We took our very sick pooch into emergency, not knowing what was wrong. After a number of tests, albeit expensive, the things that seemed to have potential to be the cause of his sickness, were not related at all. Our pup JUST turned one and we were so worried that we would loose him not knowing the cause. The staff re-assessed our pup and took such good care of him while we tried to figure out what was making him sooo sick. They walked us through EVERY step and every option. He's started treatment and is doing SO much better just in a day. I believe they saved his life.
Though we did not spend a large amount of time at this hospital, we were amazed by the compassion and kindness of the staff. We were not pressured, in either direction, when we brought in our ailing cat. The staff worked quickly and efficiently while we waited to hear our options. The person who helped us decide about what to do with our fur baby's ashes was thorough and again did not pressure us in any direction. When the doctor administrated the meds to put our cat to sleep, they explained everything that would happen and gave us privacy once they confirmed her heart had stopped. Nobody wants to think about what happens when your fur babies reach the end of their lives, but we are so grateful for the staff at VCA who helped us through this incredibly rough time.
We had to bring our hamster in as we found it barely moving, and suffocating on it's own food. They pronounced Teddy dead, and were very caring and considerate, especially after being told by other vets that they wouldn't do exotic animals. They even made a small box with decorated to send Teddy home in. We know Teddy was just a hamster, but she was also a part of the family. We are grateful for what they did, and at no charge as well.
