This place is great for any history nerd visit. The costumes, sets and actors were absolutely amazing. They also had a great collection of authentic furniture and historical items too. The trains they had were especially great to see. Personally I ended up learning most from the synagogue they had set up on the edge of town. Wonderful to see all sorts of cultures represented.

Per my standard, it's the most entertaining place in Calgary, whether you live in Calgary or you are on a tourist. So much to see and explore that full day will be hardly enough. Historical sites, seeing old equipment working, kids educational activities like wood craft, horse cart ride, children amusement park, boat ride and versus dollars spent makes it's most economical place to visit. Please keep in mind to thank the silent and invisible heroes, the volunteer force helping there. One thing which might be considered by management is adding a stone, water or wind mill and selling stone ground flour, old fashioned candies and sweets etc, some commercial activities to make the project sustainable.

Wow!! Whats cool place to go. We went to rides in the park. Ferris wheel is more excitement. Feel like we are go back in history to have the experience. We love the rides. And trains looks awesome. Remind us polar express movie. We were excited saw elks in heritage park. Theres lot of fun to do in heritage park. We would love to come back again in the future. I would recommend buy tickets at Costco in Calgary. Its cheaper to buy tickets at Costco.

I have lived in Calgary my whole life. Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved this place. Something about the history all in one place amazes me. I love that the staff are dressed up in the era of clothing and that when you go into any house they have an astounding amount of knowledge about it. I make it a thing to come every year and recommend it to anyone.

Growing up in Calgary, Heritage Park was never somewhere I was wanting to go. Id make the Id visit ever 5 years. Over the last few years they have done a great job updating the park and making it a real experience. I went twice in the same month last summer and already again this summer. Its a great day and youll need more time than you expect. Side note: We want to take my partners grandpa, but after going again and assessing accessibility, its really not easy to get around if you have limited mobility.
