This place is near my home and I have stopped in many times to grab a quick take-home frozen meal, some fresh baking, or a specialty coffee. Good service and relaxing atmosphere. I know they have live entertainment on occasion, but I've never attended. Still, that's cool.
Cornerstone Music Cafe is a wonderful, welcoming independent cafe owned and operated by Deer Run locals! Our family has been going there for the last 7 years for the music lessons, the delicious food (theres almost always something with curry!) and the good company of both the staff and customers. We encourage everyone we meet, regardless if they live in the neighbourhood, to try it out! They have free WIFI, great music, and, if youre on the run, incredible coffee in compostable cups.
Such a great place! Music lessons with wonderful teachers and a cafe full of delicious baking and soups and curries and more! Tons of gluten free options and a fridge packed with fresh and tasty meals to go. Definitely a favourite!
One of my very favorite coffee houses to get some work done or meet a friend for a chat. I crave the Almond Milk Lattes! It's a coffee house with a cafe menu that has all the breakfast & lunch basics, salads & more savory options like my favorite Falafel Vegetable Wrap. The owner makes a "delicious" soup of the day and plenty of sweets to tickle your feet. I highly recommend this local hot spot. This cafe is next to No Frills and Fish Creek Park. There's plenty of free parking in front and the parking lot is always cleared of snow.
My son was very apprehensive about taking music lessons. He would much rather spend his time playing video games. After one lesson with Jim he was asking to go back for lessons everyday. My daughter has ukulele lessons with Kieth and is loving them. She practices everyday without ever being asked. I love that my kids lessons are at the same time and place. It makes scheduling so much easier!
