The dentist and hygienist were great. Turns out they overcharged me, when I tried to contact to see how the refund would work, front desk Brittany was pretty rude and suggested that my insurance hasnt reimbursed them yet and I might still have more charges on the way. Theyve sent in the insurance claims at the day I overpaid, its only been a day, why not wait till you have actual facts to say. I dont really appreciate you to tell me that I might still owe you money, while youve just overcharged my bill. I would suggest to leave it as next conversation, if my insurance company didnt fully bill you the rest. Maybe a simple apology of youve overcharged can get you a happy customer, rather than telling the customer that you might still get more charges on the way. I would say Id go back to just see the dentist, because shes very knowledgeable; but Id go somewhere else for hygienist, its just simply not worth the hassles with the front desk.
I have gone in for teeth extractions earlier this June and the operation has gone rather well. What has prompted me to write this review however, is the repelling treatment by the staff. After having come in, I have paid the costs of the procedure -- partially with my university coverage, and partially out of pocket. The tentative coverage is 50% of such procedures, but I believe the exact insurance coverage is calculated upon check out, and may not always be exact half (if input correctly..). Month later I receive an insistent phone-call, followed by a demanding voicemail, that I owe the clinic $11 and must come in right away to pay this outstanding fee. No breakdown of the issue, no explanations for the exact source of miscommunication, nothing. The final straw was today's phone-call with no caller ID, suggesting that the call was made via a private cellular phone. The woman once again proclaimed that I owe the clinic money and must provide the payment, first, this week, then later, by the end of August... This would have maybe been potential for understanding this situation if I wasn't implicitly blamed, and if an apology was granted for this inconvenience that I had no way of causing. Having worked as a receptionist at a clinic myself, dealing with payment processing and insurances, I don't think the staff was in a position to treat patients the way I was treated. I have a deep belief that this situation was handled unprofessionally.
From reception to hygiene to post-cleaning check up by dentist, the process has always been pleasant and professional for me. Facilitation between receptionist and hygienist and dentist, the process has always been an enjoyable experience for me. This is a team I'd prefer to stay with if I don't have to leave.
This office is amazing. I have really bad dental anxiety and everyone made me feel very comfrotable. The ladies at the front were very compassionate and helpful; they explained my insurance and what it covers so I understand it better. The assistant was very kind and answered all of my questions. I will recommend this office to everyone I know and especially people who have dental anxiety!
We were recommended 17th Ave Dental Choice when we moved here, and would recommend this practice to everyone. The staff are professional and friendly, and after coming here for regular check ups and hygienist appointment for 7 years I feel like they know us all really well. After a bad experience in the UK I feel like they a very good level of care and I trust their diagnostics and recommendations. When my 3 year old Son had an accident they were able to fit us in with an emergency appointment within a couple of hours, and provided us with a great level of care. They have made his visits a positive experience so far!
