I dont really rate but i gotta get this out of my chest cause it's been bugging me for some time now. This place used to be my "Go To" service but every year it gets worse and more expensive. They pretty much they take avantage of you when you don't know a whole with Vehicles. This is happened on my last visit. I came here to change my REAR tires cause they were pretty much done but my FRONT tires were a year old basically brand new. I told them just to replace my REAR tires but they went a head and replaced ALL 4 TIRES because all 4 tires are worn out AND CHARGE ME FOR IT! This is when i had enough didn't come back after that. Hopefully this Canadian Tire change the way they do things cause they're going to lose customers if they taking keep this up.

Great place to... well was. At a time you could find anything and just pay for it. Now it seems everything is locked up even if it's a 3 dollar nut. Or it's wrapped in a ticking time bomb cable. Be prepared to play out as Pac man and try to find an employee who will help you out.

I recently moved from Ontario and thus need to do out-of-province inspection for registration. I have maintained my car frequently and the shop in Toronto did not find any issue less than one week before I drove to Alberta. So I dropped my car to this Canadian Tire shop without asking around nor checking reviews online. Hours later, after paying nearly $200 inspection fee, this Canadian Tire issued me a inspection failure report and repair order by the name of "M&P Varley Holdings Limited" and the total amount is $2587.25!!! This is insane since the car itself only worth about $6,000. As a result, I have no choice but to go to another shop on 17 Ave where they fixed all the problems on the list and passed re-inspection with only $1,315 (invoice attached). According to them, many items on Canadian Tire's list were unnecessary and could not create any safety issues, but they have to go through the list and buy and install all the components because I was failed by Canadian Tire at the first place. For example, there was a plastic cover (purchased the brand new cover in Toronto less than 2 months ago) underneath my car which only need to tighten the screws, but Canadian Tire was asking to replace the whole "fender splash shield" and "under car shield". Then I checked the out-of-province inspection requirements on the website of Ministry of Transport, most of the items listed are safety related though some other items are ambiguous which leave some room to the certified shops to play around. My car may only need to replace to brake pads in the front wheels to pass the inspection. This Canadian Tire subcontract the work to some "M&P Varley Holding Ltd." which abuses the rules and takes advantage of the ridiculous mandatory inspection.

Harassed. Followed. Stalked by a "thug like security guard". Told by a sales associate I couldn't open a heating pad box. Even if I intended to purchase. Debit card machine not working. Machine issues. "Service error" three times. Bounced around like "ping pong balls" to different tills. Told my card was declined. It was not declined. Refused to ring my items through, told to come back another day. When really, why should I have to use my gas and my time another day when clearly their machine has a problem? The issue lye with the stores debit card machine, not my card. Sent to three different cashier's. Three different tills. My husband and I made to feel like common criminals by the manager and under cover security guard. Then we were told to leave the store after we used my card to pay for half the items. We needed two separate transactions for business purposes. I was going to call telephone banking or put it on my credit card, while we were still processing what happened and bagging our merchandise into our cloth bags the manager on duty started reaching into the cart and physically grabbing the items we tried to pay for and ripping them from my hands (tug a war) as I separated everything and bagged the items I payed for. We thought this to be very bizarre behavior and tried to tell her to "STOP" and she refused to listen and her guard yelled at us to "leave now!" We immediately called the Calgary Police Department for assistance to assess and assist us in dealing with this matter. We will be going to both the store manager's with our complaint, social media, the better business bureau, and maybe even the news! One of the most horrible customer service experiences to date. And we will never be back to shop again, and we are immediately cancelling our Canadian Tire Triangle credit card!! Take heed! Caution to all Canadian Tire customers. The customer service at this store location in particular, is absolutely appalling!!!!!! Buyers, BEWARE!!!

What can I say Canadian tire is Canadian tire. My all the time complaint. Staff never knows what your talking about when you want to fix something. They might know where they put a box of something on a shelf, maybe. But don't ask how to fix something or describe a part you need to fix something cuz you outta luck most of the time, their eyes just glaze over. Or does nobody fix stuff anymore? But you always find lots of stuff you didn't realize you didn't know you needed in those amazing bins of wonder. You can shop to your hearts content and still not fix what you wanted. But you buy some really cool stuff.
