17 Sep 2018 afternoon happy hour:Mackenzie was our excellent server at your 39th Avenue NE branch. Very friendly & patient, she made sure we enjoyed our food & stay. With my very complicated dietary requirements, she gave me other options & I loved the food! We're definitely coming back.
Went for a late dinner on a Friday night during the happy hour. They have good selection on the menu for food and drinks. The best bang for your buck is the steak dinner. It comes with 8 ounce steak sirloin and a very delicious salad and grill asparagus. Food were awesome very well definitely should ask for rare steak the best way to to eat. The atmosphere was awesome we sat at the bar. Our bartender it was awesome and friendly make sure all food came out accordingly. Definition try this place. Friday night super fun.
We were lucky enough to check this place out while in Calgary visiting family. Food was delicious from appetizers to the main coarse. Others had desserts but was just so full never got to try them but looked very tasty. Wish we had one here in Winnipeg as I loved the lettuce wraps and potato skins and won't be able to get them here. The decor was nice, server was very friendly and food came in a timely manner considering how busy it was getting on a Sunday around 6:00pm.
My mum and I had lunch here. Our server was wonderful, friendly and attentive. Very funny too. They had half price bottles of wine so we got a bottle of the ros which was very good. We took the rest home. I had the tuna poke bowl. It was so delicious I had to consciously work at not inhaling it in 3 seconds.
I love the aura and the ambiance of this location. I think it has a romantice feel for dates or dinners. The glass, the fire and modern designs brings out a very classy atmosphere. The food are pricey but coming here during happy hours is definitely worth it. Some have small portions but its quality food and very filling. I would definitely recommend Cactus Club Cafe in Barlow.
