Just had dinner here with a group of eight. It took about half an hour to put our drink orders in, so we put our appetizer and entre order in at the same time. Another thirty minutes passed before three of the main courses arrived. Five minutes later, the rest of the main dishes came out. Another five minutes after our appetizer appeared. Our server was nowhere to be found for the evening. Other waitresses busy with their own tables took pity and brought us water and helped bus our table. Finally, in an effort to save the evening, we ordered dessert. It took another fifteen minutes for our waitress to return and let us know they had run out of chocolate cake. The drinks and appetizer were waived from the bill, but I wouldn't return to eat here if I was paid to.
Slow. Cold. Tried to book local. Mediocre service more attention to pretty and young and black uniform vs core competency. All of our steaks were cold. One was completely missed and served 10 min later than group. Spent a lot on wine, port, whiskey, sides, deserts...and didnt receive reciprocal service. Tried twice now to host customers. Moving on unless theres a compelling reason provided by management.
A very good restaurant on Stephen Street Calgary. It says a very rare steak house. We booked a table for 7 of us which was ready on arrival. Very good selection of drinks including beers and wine. Top waiter service. Food was excellent! I had a Chicago medium rare steak. Not cheap but very tasty and well worth the price. French onion soup to start was nice. I would recommend this restaurant for special occasions or if you are looking for a quality night out.
Had the 12oz NY strip steak at lunch and while service was friendly, the steak was cooked past medium-rare. Could be due to how thin the steak was cut (though total weight may have been on-point) but for the price I would expect better accuracy in the doneness. Honestly there are better places for the price or less.
If I could give them six stars, I would. The Top Sirloin was melt-in-my-mouth perfection and my companion raved about the Hunter Chicken. The dessert was lick-the-plate decadence. Our dinner was relaxing and beautiful, made even better by incredible recommendations from their brilliant and personable sommelier and excellent service from Abby!!!
