Great selection of quality brands, but thats really the end of the positive things to say. In-store customer service is atrocious. I just stood at the Calgary location with shoes in my hands for 15 minutes while sales reps went out of there way to avoid eye contact with me, while telling their friends about how they are so busy, but did take the time to openly roll their eyes at the Icelandic sweater my husband was wearing. Im a well-dressed, professional, 32-year old gay man. I am quite literally your target demographic. Get your act together. Ill be recommending that people go to Nordstroms instead. At least they have parking.
Original post: I came in this afternoon looking to buy a pair of Doc Marten's. After about fifteen minutes of no service, I decided to walk out. Not sure if maybe I wasn't cool enough or what, but it sucked. Sure, I could have asked for help, but I really didn't want to break up the staff's ostensibly hilarious conversation.Update: Upon emailing customer care as per the owner's suggestion below, I was asked to provide a detailed account of what happened. I was told there would be a review and meeting among staff using this information. From there, via emails, gravitypope staff were friendly, helpful and courteous; online, I was able to make the purchase I wanted while feeling very cared for, and valued. Now, I feel very good about my purchase, however, I'm still not sure about this storefront.
Easily one of my favourite stores in the city. Great place for shoes they will always have a varied selection. Staff are friendly and are super helpful. If I could give this place 4.5 stars I would.
Love my new purple pumps. This shoe store is worth the trip back to my hometown. Unique styles :)
I came here looking for a specific size and type of shoe. The sales girl who helped me really took her time and walked me through some questions I never knew were important. She ended up bringing out some additional styles and colours without me asking; talk about anticipating a customers needs and going out of your way to provide excellent service. Im not really a fan of dealing with salespeople as I usually like to shop by myself at my own pace. Not the case here as I quite enjoyed being helped by Abbigale; thanks to her I bought something different than I had initially intended and I am happy with my purchase. Thanks guys, keep up the good work; and kudos to management for the pleasant shopping experience overall.
