Came in today after promising my kids a bike ride. Forgetting I had a few issues that needed attention on my bike I bought from here. Super helpful staff. Temporarily repaired the issue and booked me in for early next week. Thanks guys. Totally recommend.
Purchased my first "real" bike from these guys back in 2002 (a 2002 Giant NRS 2) and have been coming back for parts and service since. Always had great service and advise from them over the years. Many of my friends have also purchased, and serviced their rides with this shop over the years and they have also had really good experiences. I'm getting ready to purchase my next bike and looking forward to dealing with these guys again. I think I'm going with a Trek Fuel EX7.... hope its on sale when I'm ready ha haHappy to see you have merged with the Bike Shop downtown and have access to more great brands now! Keep up the good work guys!UPDATE: The great service continues. Went in on the weekend to purchase a bike. Wound up with a Trek Fuel EX 8 (I had planned on getting a 7) They didn't have any 7's so he upgraded me to an 8 and gave me a price reduction. Picked it up the next night and rode it home with a big smile on my face.
Great service, recently had my commuter bike stolen, and I brought an old pos bike in for parts. I Recieved great service from Dan who didn't judge my bike, but rather helped me get the parts I needed to get back on the road!
Service shop unexperienced and not worth the money. Brought an older Full suspension bike in for an overhaul and nearly everything they touched came loose on the trail this year; right brake handle, rear derailleur, head stem, and my personal favourite, my chain ring. I bet they have torque wrenches in there but I can't believe they know or even care to use them. Wont bring a bike back for repair/tune. Ever.
I've had some mixed experiences here over the years, but today's trip was worthy of a review. I've been working on a bike rebuild for a few months, and brought the finished product in to The Bike Shop South to get it checked out, make sure everything was torqued properly, and make sure there were no glaring safety issues. The gentleman at the service desk spent about 20 minutes with me answering all my questions, walking me through the various issues on the bike and explaining what was going on, and then perfectly setting my front and rear derailleur in about 4 minutes (something I had spent an entire morning on). When it was all said and done, he didn't charge me for anything, and sent me on my way with a sweetly tuned ride.
