Great service and value. I was concerned after reading all the negative reviews (thought about rebooking but I was too late to cancel), but found Ace's service excellent. Be aware they are offsite, but I've traveled as far from other airports for a rental. Get the number for the shuttle and call them from baggage claim. They were already at their stall when we got there. Pickup was smooth, car was as expected, and drop off was easy. After drop off, they gave me a ride straight back to my hotel on the other side of the airport. Great experience especially considering the money saved vs other companies.
Management must not understand the need for more personnel or be on a tight budget because they are clearly under staffed and those who are working are quite linear in their approach. It took quite long to obtain the rental car and seemed as if it was an ordeal for the one guy to both prep the car and run the desk. Thought it was because of being a Sunday evening but was told that it was the same experience on a Thursday as we.
This place was HORRIBLE. I agree with the other reviews. It's far from the airport, it took us two shuttles to get there. When we did, they had no cars. Spent two more hours waiting at the AVIS they took us to for a car to arrive for us. There were four other groups this happened to with us. We watched a senior employer talk really condescendingly to our driver who I presume was new. Honestly I can't think of anything good to say about this experience except for leaving. It ruined our day and we lost out on a cool animal tour in Banff. Don't let them ruin your holiday too.
Awful customer service. We rented a car with them which we fully prepaid, but they were unable to lend us a car as planned due to some robbery that happened. We were transferred to AVIS which honored the car rental in ACEs place, but AVIS charged for the rental a second time. I asked for a refund from ACE right away and was told that I would get it between 4 to 7 working days. It has been more than a month now and I still didnt get my refund, despite calling three times and emailing them once.Edit: Finally got a refund cheque by mail a week after writing this review.
Not a very easy company to deal with. On the plus side we got an upgraded vehicle and it was very nicely taken care of. We got a minivan instead of a sedan. On the downside it's a real pain to have to go off-site but we knew that in advance. The deposit was $500 dollars and the car seat was really old and crappy. Also they don't have any rear facing car seats. Even though we paid the deposit they still charged us 60 bucks to fix a chip in the windshield. You definately get what u pay for.
