I have tried shopping here a few times; never had a good experience once. Every time I go in the staff refuse to even remotely acknowledge me (maybe my street clothes aren't good.enough for them or something). One time after Thanksgiving I went in to buy a Hugo Boss blazer. The salesman grabbed my stomach and insinuated that I was fat. I walked out and went down the hall to the Hugo Boss store and bought it there instead.
Fantastic collection of fashionable menswear. Excellent service and staff. I have my eye on an incredible winter coat, just waiting until it comes back in the fall.
My initial experiences at this store wasn't the best over the last couple years. If you're below the age of 30 and aren't dressed in more formal clothing you probably won't have anyone try and help you. I went into the store about 1 month ago after having an extremely bad experience with a private tailor. I met with Barry and had a pleasant conversation about what I was looking for in a suit and just style in general. He seemed to be very knowledgeable and very interested in clothing and fashion. We scheduled a time to come back to the store to go through the options of a custom suit. I spent about 1.5 hours at the second meeting with Barry going through all the options for the suit; lapels, linings, monograms, etc. You could make it look however you really wanted and Barry made it all come together with ease. I do not have a background at all in fashion and put a lot of stock in his experience. He gave his opinion on choices I was making and what would make the most sense. After less than 1 month the suit was ready and I went in on the weekend to get it fitted. Fit perfectly, as he said it probably would, no alterations needed. It is very high quality and at an affordable cost (it's an Altier Munro).The whole process was seamless and everything that Barry said was delivered on. I wouldn't recommend anyone else in the store. If you're looking to shop at Harry Rosen, ask for Barry and deal with him for the best service, advice and overall experience. All my future custom suits will be purchased with the assistance of Barry at this location.
I have been shopping at this location for a couple of years now.The staff, at Harry Rosen, are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable on their wide range of men's clothes and fashion accessories.If you're looking to freshen up your wardrobe or just add to an existing fly one ... give Maurice a call. He'll hook you up.
*Update:After I replied to the request to this review asking that I get in touch with their management I received a call from Mr. Kapp from corporate. We had a pleasant conversation where he asked for some feedback and seemed to genuinely appreciate it. We spoke back and forth for a while and by the end of the conversation I felt respected as a customer. While I couldnt see myself going back to Harry Rosen in Chinook Mall before now I would have no problem. In my opinion this is what good management is all about. I feel its only fair to upgrade my rating from a 1-star to a 3-star. My original experiences still stand but credit to them for the excellent followup. *Original:Whats with the sales people not even saying hello? Every time I come into this location Im disappointed with the service.
