We stayed in this place for 3 nights. Our first impression was this place needs a renovation. The lighting is dark and not a very welcoming lobby. However the staff made up for it. The service we got here was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. They were also very accommodating our requests. The rooms are undergoing renovations but we were lucky to be in one of them.
A lovely hotel right downtown Calgary. Spacious rooms with big closet, full wall wet bar, dining area, couch and lounge chairs, TV in sitting area and in bedroom, bedroom separated from living area by opaque glass French doors, sitting area, large wall closet and comfortable king bed, prompt gracious room service. As we were a tour group, dinner was pre-ordered. Our steak and prime rib were too well done for our liking. A great breakfast buffet with many choices.
The hotel it self was good, large rooms and clean. As part of the maintain the kitchen suite did not have a sink or running water. The bathroom was fully functional. Included a mini fridge which was a nice included add-on. Docked one star due to the room being next to the elevator and sounded like a feight train all night. TIP: If staying at hotel recommend getting room as far from the elevator as possible.
Everything went well for the most part, I love staying at this hotel. They're currently renovating so a few things were out of order; ice was only available on 1 or 2 of the normal 4 or 5 floors, the kitchen sink was closed off. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. At checkout I was charged a higher rate than what I had booked online for but I just had to call and I was refunded the difference. I'll be visiting Calgary again later this month and I plan to stay here again.
Good location. It was being renovated while i was there which i could see as the rooms were big but a little dated. Downstairs bar had a nice selection and some eats.
