We had a nice stay at the Ramada. Nice room, easy communication with front desk, very accommodating parking. It was excellent until we met the night shift worker(whom I believe is named Tony) He was incredibly rude, aggressive, and way out of line based on what I assume his job description is... Im not sure what type of people he is used to dealing with, but I was entirely shocked and disgusted with how horrible he treated us. I absolutely would have stayed in this hotel again, but I will NOT EVER return, based on the way we were treated by this worker. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced, worst human interaction Ive ever experienced. This man should not be working somewhere where he deals with customers. Incredibly disappointed!! Please be careful if you see a worker with the name tag Tony, I would recommend not even making eye contact with him.
This is a Nice hotel. Its location is right in the heart of the city. It has a nice pool and serves breakfast and meals. The rooms are fine if slightly dated and the up keep of the building could perhaps be better. The staff are polite and friendly. Its not the best but its not the worst either. We would go back. Thanks.
This hotel could really use a refresh for the whole property. My room was on the 'executive level' ...?? Room really could use new carpeting (many damaging stains), mattress felt mushy.Bathroom needs a redo with all of the fixtures and surface areas that seemed to have been stained.Shower head placement should be higher.Access to their 'pub' is weird: felt like I was walking into the bowels of the building. It, too, needs to be renovated: they have the space to make something good!Noise in the rooms is disturbing to light sleepers.The best feature: the staff! Their level of customer service is excellent: courteous, prompt and welcoming.I would not select this hotel again for a return visit. There are better choices in downtown area.
Pretty place and friendly staff. The hotel is just 2 minutes walk from the 4th street C-train station at core downtown Calgary. Spacious facility and huge ballrooms yo accommodate for meeting and events.
Good location and reasonable prices. Our room and beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean. Had a TV in our room and a balcony outside. Good value. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because their overnight parking was $25 and full, so we had to look for parking elsewhere. For comparison, a couple blocks away, Delta charged us $10 for overnight parking and had plenty of space.
