Ive been to this Weston twice and Im really happy with my stay both times. To begin with, the reception always smells so good you feel relaxed just by checking in. The staff is extremely friendly too. I came with my son and they promptly gave him an activity book and talked with him, very nicely. The rooms are well taken care of and clean - I just wish they included a shower cap in the rooms haha They always have complimentary water in the room, which I find very nice (a lot of the hotels dont offer that). The cleaning staff always kept the room clean and always left nice notes after cleaning, which I found was very thoughtful too. The only two things that I didnt like as much were the speed of the Internet (not very fast) and the parking was expensive ($28/day). Overall, I liked my stay there and would come back again.
Lovely room, clean and restful. The hotel staff struck the right balance between professional and friendly. The pool water and room were really cold, but that's a minor quibble. Breakfast was fantastic - fresh squeezed orange juice and an omelet bar!
Had a really lovely weekend stay at the Westin. There was an issue with my booking and the front desk agent helping me was amazingly sweet about it. I ended up getting what I requested and all was well. The room was a good size with a very comfortable bed! Parking was super easy and included in my package. I had a great experience. I cant wait to come back to the Westin the next time im in Calgary.
The Westin Calgary is an excellent hotel. The rooms, food, and customer service was exceptional. We were especially impressed with Max, who took care of us, when my husband was sick. Because my husband was sick, we had to stay an extra two days at the hotel. He helped us acquire transportation to our next destination to meet up with our tour group. He ensured that we were comfortable at the hotel and had all we needed. The hotel even made special chicken noodle soup for my husband as he recovered. I highly recommend this hotel. The Westin is also centrally located in downtown Calgary. Accessibility to shopping and points of interest.
My mom and I stayed here expecting a super nice experience, however it did not meet my expectations. Parking is not free, and MANY hotels in the downtown area are free (as I've stayed in a lot of hotels in Calgary- for way less money) The parking lots outside are actually cheaper than what the hotel charges (they charged us almost $30/night!). We did not even know parking was to be paid for as there was no indication on our itinerary. Also, since we were staying on a Sunday the street parking was even free! This hotel is "upscale" and charges a lot per night so I found paying for parking a little ridiculous. The pool is located on the top floor with amazing views, however the saunas aren't co-ed, there is not hot tub and the gym is very small! So when I tried to enjoy myself, I couldn't really do so as there were way to many people using the facilities. In my opinion there are plenty of other/better places to stay downtown if needed. Don't waste your money on this one.
