I was in Calgary for my friends wedding and my stay at the Fairmont Palliser was a great choice. Location was perfect, the staffs made us feel welcomed and very courteous. Room was made perfectly every night we go back to our room as well. Only one downside is that we were never able to call the Valet ahead (nobody picked up the phone every time we tried to call ahead in the room) so we had to come to the front to ask for our car and wait for 20+ minutes at outside/lobby to get our car. Otherwise, an excellent experience again at the Fairmont.
Great place for a high tea experience.. You can spoil your little princess here and have a mommy daughter date where you can dress up and be fancy for the day. The sandwiches are great, but the cakes are too sweet. I don't have very much of a sweet tooth. If you like sweets, maybe you will feel differently.
We stayed there for a big anniversary, and it was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in . There was a lot of renovation, but I guess that means it's getting better. The room were quite nice & clean - the bedroom was classic and the bathroom modern, which is a nice way to do it. Best thing was the comfortable bed in the Signature Kind room. And beyond that, it is the customer service that really excels. We felt very welcome. We'll definitely return again after the renovation.
One of the best hotels Ive ever stayed at. Super location, centrally in Downtown Calgary, quiet in the rooms. Starbucks connected to the hotel. Super comfy beds. Clean toilets and nice towels. Super happy and satisfied with my visit here. Would love to come back! We got upgraded to a Gold room. Love the radio sound system Bose that is in your room!
The hotel was clean and the staff were pleasant. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great. The pool, hot tub, and steam room were relaxing and well worth the visit. My only complaints are about how Fairmont nickles and dimes their guests to death - $35 for parking, $15 for wifi, $6 for a bottle of room temperature water in the room. To be honest it's kind of insulting that these things aren't included in the already expensive rooms. I can't say that is stay here again as there's better value elsewhere, but I wouldn't be terribly offended if I had to stay another night.
