Phoned Neptune Plumbing about coming in to help us out with some plumbing issues we were having & Ben/Justin showed up the very next day on time & very professional! They installed a new kitchen faucet and we also had them install two shut off valves as well for a very reasonable price. Throughout the whole experience they were there, I never got the impression they were at any point trying to up-sell us on anything they suggested or fixed for us that day! They simply educated us on what items were priority and what items could wait for awhile. Also looked at our humidifier, which had not been working for the past two years, & within 5 minutes and FREE of charge had it working for us again! They also did a complete walk through listing what things would need looking at and gave us a price for completion so am in the process of hiring them again & will do with no hesitation as the experience was good!
We required emergency service for an on-demand water heater leak. Neptune assured me that they knew how to service our Navean unit (which often confounds other service providers) and arranged for emergency service over the weekend. Ben was apologetic that he was unable to do the late evening call but he clearly communicated through phone and email when he was able to arrive to fix the issue the next morning. He worked diligently and was always forthcoming with diagnostic and service estimates so there were no big surprises. He got the hot water going and was very helpful advising of future maintenance and service considerations without sounding like he was just trying to drum up business. His knowledge and experience was most appreciated. We highly recommend him for water heater issues.
I reached out to Neptune to assist our property maintenance division in resolving some issues at a group of properties we maintain. I was impressed by the professionalism, level of knowledge, and overall experience from booking through to estimating to repair. We will be working with Neptune again.
A wast of time and money ($72.45) for a totally unreasonable quote. And be warned, they advertise in monthly neighbourhood magazine. Here are the facts: Flex tube under sink that runs from shut off valve up to the tap had small drips of water running down it. Often a do-it-yourself task that requires about $20 in parts if your replace both the hot and cold lines, a $20 or so basin (sink) wrench, and some time. Neptune arrives and begins with promoting an up sell of a water pressure reducing valve for $490.12. About 45 minutes after arriving the quotes are ready on his tablet. One quote was repair leak on the 2 water lines and install 2 stop valves for $780.75. Other quote was repair leak on 2 water lines and install 1 stop valve for $684.41. Prices include service charge of $72.45. He refused to give a labour/materials breakdown as Neptune works by the job - so they don't have to charge if it's necessary to go out for parts! Of course, for most jobs they should have the parts on hand any way. He did try to rationalize the outrageous quotes by saying it could take up to 3 hours to do the repairs.Needless to say, I did not fall for this scam and had a large well known Calgary Plumber company come out and they were in the house and had the 2 water lines replaced within 1/2 hour. Their service call was $60 plus $58 for labour and $21.76 for materials = $139.76, which sure beat the closing in on $800.00 Neptune charged me $72.45 to discover. (not to mention the additional potential $490.12 for a water pressure reducing valve, totalling nearly $1300.00) Just the facts, folks! It is highly recommended that for any trade you hire that first of all you get a cost breakdown of labour and materials if you don't want to lose your savings for your next vacation!!
I called and scheduled a regular furnace maintenance. I was told the price over the phone and that is exactly what I paid. I was told a date and time and even though the original tech couldn't come because of a snowfall they sent Trevor Brack within the original time bracket. He was very professional, friendly and patient with my toddler interrupting while he was explaining his inspection. He cleaned up after he was done, went through all of his findings and explained anything I asked without making me feel as though I was wasting his time. An absolute 5 star experience. I would recommend Trevor with Neptune any day.
